Most Groundworker Websites Don't Look Good.
They Don't Win Much Work Either.

Most of your work comes from builders and developers who need footings dug and drainage in on time. The rest comes from homeowners wanting a new driveway or a soakaway sorted. Both groups look you up before they trust you on site.

A groundworks website has to show you've got the crew, the cards and the machines to do the job. Good web design for groundworkers puts that proof up front, so a site manager can tick you off and a homeowner can see finished work.

I build websites to do exactly that.

What people check before they hire a groundworker

Get groundworks wrong and everything built on top goes wrong too. These are the questions a groundworker website has to answer fast.

  1. 01

    Is your crew carded?

Builders and developers often need operatives with CSCS cards and machine operators with CPCS or NPORS cards. Saying which cards your team holds saves them a phone call.

  2. 02

    What plant have you got?

Diggers, dumpers and rollers tell a contractor what size of job you can take on. A short list of your machinery helps them decide quickly.

  3. 03

Can you handle my size of job?

A homeowner driveway and a ten-house site need different things. Showing both kinds of work helps each customer see you're the right fit.

  4. 04

    Have you done it before?

Photos of open footings, finished drainage runs and laid driveways, with the town and type of job, prove it better than a list of services.

The pages a groundworker's website needs

Google ranks pages, not businesses. Each job you want more of gets its own page, written for what people actually type in.

  • Foundations and footings

Strip footings, trench fill and slabs for extensions and new builds, with photos of work in progress.

  • Drainage

New drainage runs, soakaways and sewer connections, explained plainly for homeowners and listed clearly for builders.

  • Driveways and hard landscaping

Block paving, tarmac, resin and concrete driveways, for homeowners comparing quotes with photos of finished jobs.

  • Site clearance and excavation

Clearing, levelling and muck away for builders, developers and homeowners getting a plot ready.

  • Work for contractors

A page for builders and developers, with your crew's cards, your plant list, insurance cover and how to get you on a tender.

  • Area pages

A page for each town and county you cover, so you show up when people search "groundworks near me" where you actually work.

Everything you need
to win work online.

No templates. No missing essentials. Everything below is included in your website.

  1. 01
    Mobile-first design

Built for phones first, where most of your customers will see you.

  2. 02
    A page for every job

Foundations, drainage, driveways and site clearance each get their own page, built for the searches people make.

  3. 03
    A page for contractors

Your cards, plant and insurance laid out for builders and developers, so trade work has its own way in.

  4. 04
    Enquiries with drawings

An enquiry form that takes plans and photos, so you can price a job before you visit.

  5. 05
    You own everything.

No rented website. No proprietary platform holding your business hostage. When it's finished, it's yours.

Full terms: paying, guarantees and the founding offer

Paying

I take no deposit and no booking fee. You pay nothing until you've seen and approved your homepage design. Then you pay the full price in one go, and I build the rest. The price is one-off. No VAT to add.

The See-It-First Guarantee

Your homepage design comes within 24 hours of your set-up call. 1 round of changes is included before you decide. You then have 2 working days to say yes or no, so I can hold your build slot. The 7-day clock pauses while you decide. If you say no, you owe nothing, and the unused design stays with me.

The 7-Day Launch Guarantee

The 7 working days start on your booked start date, with your set-up call. The clock only runs once I have everything on my set-up list: your details, logins and photos. It pauses while I'm waiting on you: for feedback, answers, your decision on your homepage design, your payment or access to your web address. 'Live' means your site is up on your own web address. If it isn't live in time because of a delay on my side, I pay you £100 by bank transfer within 7 days of launch. It's money, not a credit.

The founding price

The founding price is an introductory price for my first 4 founding clients. A place is taken when a client books their set-up call, and their price is locked from then, as long as they keep that call. If a client cancels, misses their set-up call or walks away at the design stage before all 4 places are taken, their place opens again. The founding price ends the day the 4th place is taken. Then the price goes up to £1,995, and the founding price doesn't come back.

In return I ask 3 things: use what I build and give me honest feedback, let me take a before snapshot on day 1, and let me show your finished site and its tracked numbers, good or bad. If you'd rather stay anonymous, I hide your name and web address. Your price never depends on a review.

What I don't promise

I don't promise rankings, calls, enquiries or jobs. Google decides when and where your pages show up. My guarantees cover my own work.

Groundworker website questions, answered.

Most of my work is for builders. Is web design for groundworkers still worth it?

Often, yes. Builders and developers check out a groundworker before they put you on a job, and a proper website with your cards, plant and past sites makes you look established. It also brings in homeowner driveways and drainage work to fill gaps between contracts.

Can you show my team's CSCS and CPCS cards?

Yes. I list the card schemes your crew holds, and any other accreditations like CHAS or Constructionline, where contractors look for them. I only show what you actually hold, so it stays accurate. If you add a new card or accreditation later, it goes up the same week.

Should my driveway work be on the same site as my commercial groundworks?

Usually, yes, on separate pages. Homeowners searching for a driveway land on the driveway page and see finished drives. Contractors land on the trade page and see your plant and cards. One site, two front doors, and each customer only sees what matters to them.

I don't have nice photos. My jobs are mostly mud and trenches.

That's fine. Contractors want to see open footings, drainage runs and machines on site, so working shots are useful. Add a few finished driveways or patios and the site covers both audiences. I'll tell you which photos work best. Working shots also show contractors you are the real thing.

Do I need to write anything?

No. I write every page for you from a short set-up call about your jobs, crew, plant and the work you want more of. You just approve it. If you would rather write something yourself, like a few lines about how you started, I will tidy it up and fit it in. Changes after launch are simple too.

What are SEO foundations?

The groundwork Google needs to find and understand your site: page titles written for the searches you want, a clear page structure, fast pages on mobile, your business details kept consistent, and a sitemap so Google knows every page exists. It's the base that Local SEO builds on later.

Do I own the website?

Yes. Your site, your domain and your content belong to your business. Nothing is held hostage.

What do I need to provide?

The basics: the services you offer, the areas you cover, and any photos of your work. I'll guide you through the rest.

Are there any ongoing costs?

A yearly fee for hosting and your web address, paid by you. I tell you the exact amount in writing before you pay anything. More SEO after the 3 included months is optional, month to month.

What happens after the 3 months of SEO?

That's up to you. Carry on month to month at £495 a month, or stop. Your website keeps working either way, and nothing ties you in.
