Your next customer is searching right now.
Are they finding you?
Lawn care is a subscription business, and a single customer can stay with you for years. When someone searches "lawn treatment near me", the map is often full of national franchise names. If you're independent, you need to earn your place next to them.
SEO for lawn care is about showing up for the people on your doorstep who want a better lawn. It's your Google Business Profile, a page for each treatment you offer, and reviews that prove the results.
Sound familiar?
- 1
You're paying per lead for people who were searching for you anyway.
- 2
Competitors show up in the Google map results. You don't.
- 3
Your website doesn't show up for the services you actually offer.
- 4
Your reviews are thin, old or scattered across different sites.
Good work isn't enough if nobody can find it. SEO makes sure they can.
How people search for lawn care
Lawn searches come in two kinds: someone with a problem lawn, and someone ready to sign up for a plan. Good SEO for lawn care targets both.
lawn treatment near me
The core search, and where franchises compete hardest. Your profile, recent reviews and a tight service area decide whether you appear.
lawn care [your town]
People planning ahead. An area page for each town you treat helps you show for the places where you want more customers on the same route.
lawn scarifying [your town]
Seasonal and searched by name. A dedicated scarifying page that explains when and why it's done can rank on its own and lead to an annual plan.
lawn aeration near me
Often paired with scarifying in autumn. A clear aeration page catches these and gives you a reason to recommend a full programme.
moss in lawn / weeds in lawn
Problem searches in the customer's own words. Short, helpful pages that answer them bring in people who become plan customers.
lawn treatment plan prices
Ready-to-buy searchers comparing options. A page that explains how your plan works and what each visit includes helps them choose you.

What SEO for lawn care actually involves
Every month, I work on the things that decide which lawn care companies Google shows. Here's what that looks like for a lawn business.
- 01
Your Google Business Profile, set up for lawn care
The right primary category (Lawn care service), extra categories that match your work, a service area that matches your routes, and regular before and after photos of lawns you treat.
- 02
A page for each treatment and each town
Treatment programmes, scarifying, aeration, overseeding, moss control and weed control each get their own page, plus area pages for the towns where you want denser routes.
- 03
Standing out against the franchises
Being local and independent is a selling point. I make that clear on your profile and pages, alongside reviews from real customers in your area.
- 04
Timing around the lawn year
Scarifying and aeration peak in autumn, weed and feed in spring. I get the right pages and posts ready ahead of each season, so you're visible when the searches rise.
- 05
Reviews that show results
A simple routine for asking plan customers for a review, ideally after a visible improvement. Reviews that mention moss, weeds or a town name help you show for those searches.

Lawn Care SEO questions, answered.
Can SEO for lawn care help me compete with the big franchises?
It can help you compete, though the franchises have big brands and many profiles. Map results lean heavily on distance, relevance and reviews, so a well run local profile with genuine reviews can show alongside them in your area. Google decides the order, so I won't promise positions, but I'll show you where you appear.
I want plan customers, not one-off jobs. Can you focus on that?
Yes. I build your pages around your treatment programme and use one-off services like scarifying as a way in. Those pages explain why a year-round plan gets better results, which helps turn a single visit into a subscription that keeps paying year after year.
Lawn care is seasonal. When should I start?
Ideally a few months before your busy period. Pages and profile changes take time to settle, so starting in winter helps you be ready for spring treatments, and starting in summer helps with autumn scarifying and aeration. Quieter months are a good time to build pages too.
Do I need a new website for SEO to work?
Not always. If your current site is fast, works well on a phone and you can add pages, I'll work with it. If it can't do those things, I'll tell you plainly, because SEO on a weak site is money poorly spent.
How long before I see more enquiries?
Profile and review work can move your map visibility within the first couple of months. New treatment and area pages usually take a few months to settle. I report what's moving every month in plain English, including which treatments people are searching for.
How long until I see results?
SEO builds over time. Most businesses see early movement within the first few months, with bigger gains as the work compounds. I'll show you what's moving in every monthly report.
Can you guarantee I'll rank number one?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google. What I can promise is proper work, focused on the searches that bring you jobs, and honest reporting on progress.
Is there a long contract?
No. It's £495 a month, and you stay because it's working, not because you're tied in.
What happens if I stop?
You keep everything that's been built: the pages, the profile, the reviews and the links. Unlike paid ads, your visibility doesn't vanish overnight.
