1. Who we are and how to contact us

This website (available at jtandy.co.uk and jtandy.com, together “the website”) is operated by JTandy, the trading name of James Tandy, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (“JTandy”, “we”, “us”). To contact us, email james.tandy@jtandy.com.

By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the website.

2. Use of the website

You may view, download and print content from the website for your own business or personal use. You must not:

• use the website in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or connected systems;
• knowingly introduce viruses or other malicious material;
• use automated tools to scrape or harvest content or data at scale; or
• submit forms with false, misleading or third-party details without authority.

3. The free audit

The free website and local SEO audit is a genuine review, personally completed, and provided free of charge with no obligation. It is prepared in good faith using the information you supply and what is publicly visible about your business online. It is general guidance for your business, not a guarantee of results: search rankings, enquiry volumes and conversion rates depend on many factors outside anyone’s control.

We may decline to provide an audit at our discretion, for example where a request is outside our expertise.

4. Paid services

Website builds, local SEO retainers and related services are engaged under a separate written proposal or agreement which sets out the scope, price, timeline and terms for that work. If anything in these website terms conflicts with a signed proposal or agreement, the proposal or agreement wins. Prices shown on the website are indicative and may change; the price in your written proposal is the one that applies.

5. Intellectual property

The website and its content (including text, design, graphics and the JTandy name and logo) are owned by or licensed to JTandy and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce material from the website for commercial purposes without our written permission. Ownership of deliverables created under a paid engagement is dealt with in the relevant proposal; our standard position is that clients own their completed website and content once paid for in full.

6. Accuracy of information

We take care to keep the website accurate and up to date, and where we quote industry statistics we name the source. However, the content is provided for general information only, is not advice on which you should solely rely, and is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.

7. Third-party links and services

The website links to and embeds services provided by third parties, such as Cal.com for booking calls and WhatsApp for messaging. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or how they operate.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to that:

• we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the website or your reliance on its content or on a free audit; and
• our total liability arising from your use of the website or the free audit is limited to £100. Liability arising under a paid engagement is dealt with in the relevant proposal or agreement.

If you are a consumer rather than a business, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Availability

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you use the website is the one that applies to you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
