Why start here

You shouldn’t have to choose the service before knowing where the problem is.

  • A new website will not solve enough if local customers are not finding you.
  • More visibility will not solve enough if visitors reach the website and leave.
  • And neither addresses the problem if competitors consistently look like the safer choice.

That is why I review all three areas before recommending where to start.

The goal is not to sell you every service. It is to identify the one most likely to strengthen your business first.

What I review

Three areas. One starting point.

All three get reviewed. Only one gets recommended — the one the evidence says would strengthen the business first.

Review Automation

The outcome

One clear recommendation on where to start.

The review is not designed to produce a long report.

A long report feels thorough and is usually the opposite. Forty things to fix is the same as no answer at all, because you still have to decide which one to start with — and that decision was the reason you came here.

So each of the three areas gets an honest verdict, one is named as the place to start, and the recommendation comes with the commercial reasoning behind it rather than an instruction to trust me.

One priority. One reason. One clear next step.

Your review answers
  • What is working
  • What is underperforming
  • Which area matters most first
  • Which JTandy service is relevant, if any
  • Why I am recommending it
  • What I would do next

Yours to keep, whatever you decide.

An example

What a recommendation might look like.

Three verdicts, one starting point and the reason behind it. Note what is missing: a list of everything else that could theoretically be improved.

Three-point reviewExample

Holloway Plumbing & Heating

Sheffield · illustrative, not a real business

  • VisibilityStrong

The business is already appearing for its priority local searches.

  • WebsitePriority

Suitable visitors are reaching the site, but the offer is unclear and mobile contact is difficult.

  • TrustAdequate

Review volume and recency are competitive.

Recommendation

Website

Increasing traffic would not address the largest weakness. The bigger opportunity is converting more of the visitors already reaching the business.

Example only. Your recommendation is based on your own business.
Personally reviewed

Software can find issues. It cannot decide which one matters most.

Automated tools can identify technical faults, missing metadata or website scores. That is genuinely useful, and it is not this. What a tool cannot reliably judge:

  • Whether your business looks weaker than competitors
  • Whether customers understand the offer
  • Whether the website creates confidence
  • Whether more visibility would actually help
  • Which problem deserves your money first

I review the business personally and make the recommendation myself. Nothing is generated, delegated or outsourced.

The value is not the checklist. It is the judgement.

What happens next

A clear process from submission to recommendation.

  1. Send the basics

You provide the business, website, service and location details. About two minutes, with nothing to prepare beforehand.

  2. I review the three areas

Visibility, website conversion and online trust — personally, against the local competitors you are actually up against.

  3. You receive the recommendation

You see what is strongest, what is weakest and where I would start.

  4. If a JTandy service is relevant, I explain it

You receive the reason, the scope and the next step, so you can judge it without asking me for a number.

  5. You decide

Proceed, wait, or do nothing. No call is required before the review, and none is required after it either.

No call is required before the review.

Turnaround

Delivered within three working days.

A concise written review with screenshots, showing the evidence behind the recommendation rather than asking you to take it on trust.

No unnecessary report. No dashboard full of scores. Your submission is acknowledged the same working day, so you are never left wondering whether it arrived.

You stay in control

The recommendation does not commit you to anything.

If one of my services is the right next step, I will explain why.

If none of the three services is the right priority, I will say so. You decide what happens afterwards.

If I do not believe one of my services is the right solution, I will tell you.

Who this is for

Built for established tradesmen who want a clear next step.

A strong fit
  • You want more local enquiries.
  • You have already invested in your online presence.
  • You are unsure what needs improving first.
  • You are considering a website, Local SEO or review automation.
  • You want a direct recommendation.
  • You value clear reasoning before spending money.
Not the right fit
  • You want a full multi-channel marketing strategy.
  • You are seeking PPC or social media management.
  • You want guaranteed lead numbers.
  • You are looking for a technical SEO report only.
  • You want all three services bundled regardless of need.

If you are in the second column, saying so now saves us both a fortnight. There are people who do those things well and I am not one of them.

Before you send it

Fair questions.

Three areas. Whether enough suitable local customers are finding you, whether the visitors you already get turn into enquiries, and whether your business looks like the safer choice next to your local competitors. That is the whole scope, and the narrowness is deliberate — those three decide whether a local customer reaches you and then picks you.

No, and there is no call involved at all. You send the details, I review the business, and the recommendation arrives by email. Nothing is scheduled and there is no follow-up sequence waiting behind it.

No. That is the point of doing it this way round — you get the reasoning in writing, about your own business, before deciding whether talking to me is worth your time. Everything you need in order to judge it arrives in writing.

Within three working days of your submission, and often sooner. You will get an acknowledgement the same working day. If something means I need longer — a large site with a lot of pages, for example — I will email and tell you rather than quietly running over.

A short written review with screenshots: the verdict on each of the three areas, the one I would start with, and the commercial reasoning behind that order. If a JTandy service is the right next step you also get the scope and the price, so you can judge it without asking.

No. Nothing here comes from running your site through a tool and pouring the output into a template. Software is genuinely good at finding technical faults and genuinely bad at deciding which of them is costing you money — the second part is the whole job, and I do it myself.

Not to begin. The review is built from publicly visible information: your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your local rankings and your competitors. If the findings point somewhere that data would sharpen, I will ask — and only then, and only with your permission.

No, and doing so would be a sign the review had not been done properly. You get one starting point. If visibility is the constraint, telling you to buy a new website first would be the wrong order and I would be taking your money to solve a problem you do not have yet.

I tell you that, plainly, and you keep the review. Sometimes the honest answer is to fix two specific things yourself, or to give the work you are already paying for another few months before judging it. Neither of those earns me anything and both are sometimes correct.

None. No obligation, no expiring offer and no chasing. The review is yours to keep whatever you decide to do with it, including nothing at all.

Yes, and it is one of the more useful reasons to ask. You get an independent read on whether the work is moving anything, which you are welcome to pass straight to whoever is doing it. A provider doing a decent job will not mind being checked, and I am not going to tell you to sack somebody who is earning their fee.

Yes. A new site is often exactly when this is worth doing, because the build decisions are still fresh and small changes are still cheap. If the site is genuinely good I will say so, and the recommendation will point somewhere else.

Then say so in the form and I will still review all three areas first. If the evidence agrees with you, you will have confirmation before you spend anything. If it does not, you will find out now rather than three months in — which is the more valuable of the two outcomes, even though it is the less welcome one.

Your business name, your trade or main service, your main town or service area, your website address if you have one, and where to send the review. That is enough to start. If I need anything else to be thorough I will ask for it rather than holding things up.

Something else you want looked at? Put it in the “biggest concern” box on the form and I will answer it in your review.

Start with a clearer decision.

Tell me about the business. I will review the three areas that matter and tell you where I believe the strongest opportunity lies.
